A Day at Work

Recently I got away for a few days to think and focus on work. I took a bus up and down the hills of Pennsylvania to a writer’s retreat center surrounded by farms.

At the end of the journey was a tiny, private cabin and no obligations for days, just the fields out the window thrumming with insects. I sat down at the small desk with objectives and a schedule.
